Overlap:

Our mural panels are designed with a 1-inch overlap in addition to the 24-inch width. We strongly advise against removing this overlap for any peel and stick mural installation. When determining the mural size you will need, please do not include the overlap in your calculations, as it will be concealed by the next panel.

We use only Genuine Water-Based NON-Solvent Inks, Class “A” Flame Resistant and GREENGUARD GOLD Certified Materials.

Peel and Stick Wallpaper Surface Requirements

Our removable peel and stick wallpaper is designed for clean, smooth, dry, properly primed, and dust-free surfaces.

Peel and stick wallpaper is not recommended for textured walls, bumpy walls, rough walls, freshly painted walls, damp or cold surfaces, unsealed plaster, chalky surfaces, limewash, loose paint, peeling paint, dust, mold, moisture, grease, residue, or other unstable surfaces.

Peel and stick wallpaper may not adhere properly to walls painted with stain-resistant, washable, scrubbable, zero-VOC, low-VOC, or other specialty paints, depending on the paint formula and surface condition.

All sanded, drywall, orange peel, knockdown, or other textured surfaces should be properly smoothed and prepared before installation. Old wallcovering, loose paint, and unstable coatings should be removed before application.

Refunds will not be issued for wall incompatibility, poor adhesion caused by unsuitable surfaces, improper wall preparation, or installation issues.

Freshly Painted Walls

If your walls have been recently painted, please allow at least 4 weeks of drying and curing time before installing peel and stick wallpaper.

Some paints may require 5 weeks or longer to fully cure, depending on the paint type, primer, humidity, ventilation, temperature, and wall condition.

Applying removable wallpaper to fresh or uncured paint may damage the adhesive backing, reduce adhesion, cause peeling, or damage the painted surface during removal.

Peel and Stick Removability

Peel and stick vinyl and peel and stick fabric materials are designed to be removable, but removability is not guaranteed.

Removal results depend on the wall surface, paint type, primer, wall preparation, installation method, temperature, humidity, length of time installed, and overall wall condition.

The longer wallpaper remains installed, the more difficult removal may become. Some painted, paper-based, composite, poorly primed, or delicate surfaces may be damaged during removal.

CostaCover is not responsible for paint damage, wall damage, adhesive residue, surface lifting, or other damage caused during removal.

If adhesive residue remains after removal, clean the area gently according to the wall surface and paint manufacturer’s recommendations. Always test cleaning methods in a small hidden area first.

Peel and Stick Fabric Opacity

Peel and stick fabric wallpaper is not 100% opaque.

We do not recommend using fabric wallpaper over bright, dark, highly saturated, or uneven wall colors, including green, red, yellow, dark gray, blue, black, or similar colors, because the wall color may show through the material and affect the final appearance.

For best results, apply fabric wallpaper to a smooth, clean, dry, light-colored wall surface.

Commercial Grade Type II Vinyl Wallpaper

Commercial Grade Type II 20 oz vinyl wallpaper with canvas texture is a durable wallcovering material intended for long-term use and professional installation.

This material requires wallcovering adhesive or paste, which is not included unless expressly stated.

Professional installation is strongly recommended for Commercial Grade Type II vinyl wallpaper.

Depending on the wall condition, surface texture, adhesive, and installer’s method, seam treatment, overlap, trimming, and double-cutting may be required.

Type II vinyl may be suitable for certain commercial or prepared wall surfaces, but compatibility with your specific wall must be evaluated before installation.

CostaCover is not responsible for installation errors, wall preparation issues, adhesive selection, seam visibility, trimming mistakes, surface incompatibility, or installer-related problems.

Samples Are Strongly Recommended

We strongly recommend ordering a sample before placing a full-size order.

A sample allows you to test how the material looks in your room, how the color appears under your lighting, how the texture feels, and how the material interacts with your wall surface.

Because every wall, paint, primer, surface condition, lighting environment, and room is different, it is the customer’s responsibility to determine whether the selected material is suitable for the intended project.

Even if your wall appears to meet the recommended criteria, other variables may affect adhesion or appearance, including moisture, heat, dryness, dust, paint type, primer, wallcovering residue, texture, or other site-specific conditions.

We cannot guarantee that any removable wallpaper material will be 100% compatible with every wall or surface.

Installation Disclaimer

CostaCover is not responsible for wallpaper damage, installation mistakes, trimming errors, panel misalignment, gaps, overlaps, bubbles, wrinkles, adhesion issues, damage caused during installation, or any issues caused by uneven walls, uneven ceilings, improper wall preparation, unsuitable surfaces, or third-party installers.

Please inspect all panels before installation. If you believe your order is damaged, defective, incorrect, or incomplete, contact us before installing the product.

Installation of the product may be considered acceptance of the product, especially for visible issues that could have been identified before installation.

Damaged Shipments

CostaCover is not responsible for poor print quality, pixelation, blur, color issues, distortion, low resolution, compression artifacts, or other issues caused by customer-provided files.

Accidents can happen during installation. Qualifying CostaCover orders include FREE Rescue Panel Protection, which provides one complimentary replacement panel if a panel is accidentally damaged during installation.

Rescue Panel Protection is available for orders over $300. One complimentary replacement panel is available per qualifying order. Requests must be submitted within 30 days of delivery, and photo proof of the damaged panel is required.

To request a Rescue Panel, contact us with your order number, the panel number, and clear photos showing the damage.

We will use the specifications from your original order to reproduce the replacement panel as closely as possible. Because the replacement is printed separately from the original order, slight color variations between production runs may occur.

Peel-and-stick materials are considered removable compared to traditional wallpaper. In general, peel-and-stick wallpaper is easy to remove, and there should be no major problems if the wall was properly prepared before installation (meaning the wall was coated, primed, and painted with a standard finish).

However, because peel-and-stick wallpaper has strong adhesive qualities, minor scratches or small imperfections can occasionally occur even on fully prepared walls. due to great adhesion qualities of the peel and stick wallpaper.

The choice of material depends on how heavily the wall is textured. Peel-and-stick wallpaper is generally not recommended for textured surfaces, as it adheres best to smooth walls. Traditional unpasted materials — such as non-woven wallpaper or Type II vinyl — usually work better on lightly textured or challenging surfaces.

Peel & Stick: Best for DIY projects and anyone who wants the fastest, cleanest install—just peel, stick, and reposition as needed. It’s also a great renter-friendly option because it’s designed to be removable.
Pre-Pasted: A solid choice for DIY renovations, especially beginners. The adhesive is already on the paper—just activate it with water, making installation quick and mess-free (no paste mixing).
Unpasted (Traditional): Ideal when you’re working with professional installers. This type requires wallpaper paste, and pros often prefer it for more complex installs and a very secure, long-lasting finish.

Absolutely! Our wall murals can withstand the high moisture in bathrooms and other humid rooms. For best results, make sure the wall is completely dry, clean, and free of dust before installation. We recommend choosing smooth vinyl/canvas vinyl materials. For areas inside the shower or directly behind a bathtub, we recommend using fully waterproof materials like tile.

For murals, we need your exact wall measurements to ensure the image fits your wall perfectly. Murals are divided into 24”-wide panels for easy installation, and our designers will add any necessary wiggle room if needed.
For repeating patterns, you can also provide exact measurements — we’ll help calculate the correct amount to ensure full coverage.

Yes, all our designs come with a 1" overlap to ensure pattern perfectly aligns. The overlap (seams) can be removed on traditional material using the double cut method. However, we don't recommend removing the overlap on peel-and-stick as it can shrink a bit overtime.

Yes! In most cases, we can customize colors or adjust elements of the design to better fit your space. You’re welcome to send us a CMYK/HEX/RGB color code, a paint brand and color name, or a reference photo. Our in-house designers will review your request and do their best to match or adjust the design as needed. We always recommend ordering a sample to confirm the final look before printing.
We will resize the image to perfectly fit the area where you’re installing the wallpaper. Our talented design team will make sure no important elements or parts of the pattern are cut off. Just send us your exact measurements (exact width and height above the wainscoting), and we’ll take care of the rest.

Artistic designs intentionally include painterly brush strokes, distressed textures, watercolor effects, soft edges, and other artistic elements. These characteristics are part of the design and are not considered printing defects.

Texture Designs Concrete, plaster, linen, fabric, and distressed wall effects are intentionally incorporated into the artwork and may appear weathered, aged, textured, or uneven.

Vintage artwork may intentionally contain grain, fading, worn textures, and distressed effects.

Of course! We offer samples for each product and each material we sell. Simply select “Sample” in the Size drop-down menu and choose the material you’d like to preview. Ordering a sample allows you to see the true print colors, feel the material, and understand how the design may vary slightly across different finishes before committing to a full order.
We designed our samples to give you the best insight into the design. One part of the sample shows the actual scale of the pattern, and the other part includes an overall preview of the full design. If you’d like to see what a sample looks like, you can request a digital preview.

While the adhesive qualities are the same for all peel-and-stick wallpapers, you can choose a finish based on your personal preferences: smooth, lightly textured, or textured.

Beautiful, elegant, perfect!

The Costacover team was very responsive and helpful throught the whole ordering process. After ordering a sample, we went with the canvas peel and stick. Alexa and the design team were able to customize this wallpaper fit my sons' room perfectly by adjusting a few of the elements to be better visible around their bedframe. Installation required some patience as we have never hung any kind of wallpaper before, but my husband and I were able to manage it in a couple hours. It looks great; hoping it stands up to two rambunctious boys!

This mural is absolutely beautiful and I’m so glad I ordered. The sellers were lovely, I needed to message to check it could be done in time and they made sure it was, with time to spare. Speedy replies and 10/10 customer service. The instructions were helpful, they recommend the double cut method on the wallpaper I had. Using the “paper” you can tell its quality, there were times I needed to cut a tiny bit more off and it was very easy to peel off and slide up/across on the wall, or readjust angles without any fear of ripping. I’m fairly amateur and managed this with relative ease. I am just over the moon with the finish of my son’s nursery, paired with F&B Kakelugn painted panelling (the pictures done even do it justice and we have had so many people comment how beautiful it is!!!)
